Night-time I bet they sleep underwater for 2-4 hours at a time before waking up to take a few air.
For night-time, I saw on a PBS Turtle special that they are unlike any other creature when they hibernate. I watched it a while ago but I think they said that their heart actually stops beating and they don't even breathe. They showed a turtle completely covered in thick ice, and then when it defrosted the turtle woke up! It's pretty amazing and scientist don't even really know how they do this according to that show
