It's hard to be sure from a pic but this snake looks a little thin and dry to me. Until you get him drinking water from a bowl be sure to keep spraying the leaves.

Buy a bird-feeding bowl with a mounting plate at any pet store and mount it up high on the wall of the snake's cage. Drape some leaves around it. He will probably figure it out within a few days. They don't do well with a waterbowl on the cage floor.

I find these snakes are pretty delicate at first but once established they can be fairly easy. Try not to handle him since it stresses them significantly and because they are so fast they can get away from you and then you are in trouble.

Also, if this snake were captive-born or captive-bred I would hope he would look a little fatter and juicier. But then again, going by a photo is a little tough.
