I recieved a Alsophis portoricensis (Puerto Rican racer)
I have it in a 20 long. Aspen shavings about 4-5 inches thick... some stuff to climb on, a water dish, and a humid hide.
the snake is about 18-20" long.
I know in nature it feeds on anoles and frogs... i know some people get them switched over to mice.
I tried a pinky mouse first. no luck.
next i tried an anole. It killed it, but never ate it.
I'm wondering if it's in a shed cycle.... but if not, what else can i try for prey items? should i stick w/ anoles?
oh yeah... it's warm enough... about 93 at the basking area, tapers off to about 80 on the cool side. plenty of burrowing available to get away though....
Any ideas?
