Yes except that the legislation is based on venom rather than danger. Otherwise a whole suite of small Aussie elapids would be allowable. I am going by relative danger (as the previous posts indicate quite clearly). It is much simpler to go by a technical vs. practical version, otherwise we'll have to consider virtually all colubrids as venomous. Would you like to explain to legislators the nuances of that?
