Like the vast majority of Colubrids, Leptophis has a Duvernoy's gland producing toxic secretions (which isnot the same as toxic saliva!). I don't know what its rear teeth look like, but then, that does not seem to matter all that much - Rhabdophis has pretty unimpressive fangs, and yet, it can kill you.
Clinical evidence suggests that Leptophis bites can cause local pain and swelling, but I have not heard of any more serious symptoms.
