As far as I know there are really only two types of vines snakes in the world. Asian vine snakes have horizontal pupils and of course are from Southeast Asia. The only other type is from South America. It has round pupils similar to a garter snake. I had three adult asian vines. The female gave birth to eight babies, seven of which have survived and are eating small minnows.
