Yeah, I figured it was a Marcropisthodon based off those fangs. Very impressive!! Illustrates nicely why I consider them to be as dangerous if not more so than Rhabdophis. Rhabdophis have piddly fangs but are well documented to be quite dangerous. Since Macropisthodon is so closely related, I expect the venom to be similar in action. Since it has a much more effective delivery system, it should be considered as potentially lethal.
Bloody beautiful snake. Do you have a crisper photo or two I can use for the webpage?
