Mangrove snake venom is not as bad as some other rear-fanged snakes, but i have seen it cause some discomfort. A friend of mine was bit by his Dendro, and he ended up with a very sore arm and a headache. Apart from local swelling and temporary discomfort, the other main danger is the possibility of anaphalyctic shock. My suggestion would be to be careful when handling, and avoid being struck.
