hi,
i recently was given a young male texas lyre snake that was captured in new mexico. as of yet, it has not eaten(it was captured 2 weeks ago come this friday). can anyone relate their experiences with wildcaught specimens of this subspecies? so far i have tried a live whiptail, a dead whiptail, and a live greater earless lizard. i am thinking these may have been a bit too large, so tomorrow i will try some tree lizards. i do have a sonoran lyre, and it eats frozen thawed mice no problem.
thanks, ian
