:I talked to Jay, and he said you can borrow her if you want. Just let me know when you want her, and we will figure it out. We are giving Floyd a normal for his rusty to play with. hope this all works. By the way, question for ya. If I take a Leucistic TEXAS rat and cross it with a Leucistic BLACK rat, will this cross truely show if there is any Texas in the "black" strain? What about crossing two Leucistic blacks...one from Md and one from Bell up in Ohio...even though they are the same morph, if one has TEXAS in it, won't there be all normals produced since the location of this gene will be different in blacks compared to texas rats? What do you think?
If you cross your leucistic tx rat with your leucistic blk rat your probaly have some leucistic tx/blk babies .But if you have all normal babies that would be a plus for you because the leucistic genes are two different strains.
I think the same applies despite local OH strain X MD strain = leucistic babies or all normal babies
There's probaly 7 different types and or local of TX rats. Some light some dark and all in between. It can be hard to tell the different between a pure TX and let say KY blk rat unlike ours here in MD which are dark grey to indigo blk .
I hope this help
give me a call about the loan
