:This whip I found in june in Antioch C.A.on the side of the road bieng picked at by a crow.I stopped and realized it wasnt just a gophersnake or garter or somthing I believe it may be a red coach whip/san joaquin orAlameda coach whip. the snake was found a few hours too late.Im shure there are more and the area I found it is prety well populated and being developed with track homes!!!! if its a san Joaquin or alameda they are protected and very scarce. But I dont know my way around in the whip snake family and some help identifying would help. thanks...
