No coachwhips don't eat mealworms. I've had them eat mice and lizards for me. Remember they are not constrictors so they need relatively small meals compared to their body size. As for lighting, I don't think "neon" lighting is what you want. Full-spectrum fluorescent lighting (designed for reptiles) and a small heat lamp (dome-shaped) on one end of the cage for 8-10 hours per day is good. Where'd you get that coachwhip? He's very strange looking.
