need help racer id

I saw a rat snake on jeff corwin. It was about 6-7ft long and it's pattern would go about 1/3rd the lenth of the snake and start to fade away to a gray tail. Any clue as to the name of this snake? I think corwin called it a glossy bellied racer or something to that nature. I am intersted in keeping it but need to find it's right identity first. All help is welcome! Thanks alot,
