Eastern Kingsnake laid eggs, need HELP

As part of a BSA merit badge, my son caught an eastern kingsnake and intended to observe it for 30 days and then release it back into the wild. This morning she laid approx. 11 eggs and we have no idea of what we should do if anything. Should we separate the mom from the eggs? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
