Guanacaste region of Costa Rica (NW). A dry area with a lot of tropical savannah. He was about 4 ft. up in a small bushy tree basking at about 11:00 AM. He was about 30" in length. I have a single poor pic of him but I don't have it digitized at the moment.
A general description (info from Coborn's Snakes of the World): up to 48", yellow with a pair of black stripes running down the back and through the eye to the nostril. The top of the head (above the stripe) is bright green. Very slender (like a ribbon snake) and eat frogs and lizards. Live in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica.
Hope this helps.
