They tame with size. We have 2 WC coachwhips (both over 6 feet) in the Herp Lab at my college and both are real easy to handle. These have only been in captivity for a couple weeks in order to have radio transmitters implanted. They simply stay on the move when being handled unlike racers which will tag you repeatedly.
Here is a coachwhip I caught in SC several weeks ago.
