Before you force-feed, is your coachwhip a male? If so, it is normal for him to refuse food during the spring mating season. If it is not a male or is a juvenile, try warming him up. My coachwhips like it really warm around 85 to 88 degrees. I also have a juvenile that will only eat if I pester him with the pinkie. He gets so irritated with it that he grabs it and proceeds to eat it. They are by far the "finicky cat" of the snake world as juveniles. Good Luck!
