I recently bought a long term captive eastern coachwhip from a friend. I had wanted one for a while, but, normally being a ratsnake guy, was a little put off by their reputation for being very defensive/aggressive. Having had experiences with black racers in the wild, handling a bigger, badder version didn't excite me. However, this animal is extremely docile. He has never struck at me, and is as tame as any cornsnake in my collection. He readily eats fresh killed mice. If anyone has any caging or other advice on keeping eastern coachwhips, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Derek B
