In Reply to: is it possible for a black and a blue racer to breed? posted by Danny E. on August 19, 2001 at 14:41:19:
I as a mater of faqct have what I and everyone else thinks is a intergrade of a blue racer and a southern black racer. The animal was caught somewere in eastern missouri is about 2 feet long is a male and is mostly black but is tinted with some blue on his side and is quite blue on the ventral. Knowone is quite sure exactly what this animal is but we believe it to be what I said. And yes it is possible for the two species to breed they are actually quite closly related.....
