I should probably add something to my comment about Rossi's opinion on watering. He is a veternarian and therefore I value his opinion on providing water to Coluber and Masticophis species. I just had a few years of luck prior to reading his books. I do not want to sound like I think he is wrong, if I do coachwhips again I will probably try having water available at all times.
