I caught a Sonoran Whipsnake on my trip to Arizona recently. I wouldn't
have kept it, as I am not interested in whipsnakes, but it was run over
in the road. However, I could tell that it was in good enough condition
to survive (though not in nature). It has now almost fully recovered,
although for some reason it's eyes are clouded over. (possibly with dried
blood inside the "eye scales"?) Anyways it is now very active, but I don't
think it's eaten. I don't want to keep it anylonger, but if anyone is interested
I will send it to them at shipping cost only. I think the snake has a chance
to survive, but only in captivity, where food is supplied and easy to catch.
Let me know if you are interested,
chris gruenwald
