: Since the animals were shipped (I assume) while she was gravid that may have been enough to stress her enormously and cause premature laying of the eggs or embryonic death. Vermiculite isnt the best choice as an egg laying medium, but for incubation its great. I would of suggested sphagnum moss for the nest box. If the eggs have somewhat become more turgid then I would say that is a positive sign. If they are staying dimpled I would add a little bit more water to the vermiculite (too wet is worse than too dry I may warn) and maybe keep the temp around 80 and see what happens. Also a tray full of water in your incubator can work wonders without increasing the amount of water added to the vermiculite.
