: : The Horseshoe Racer (Coluber h. hippocrepis) is a very nice animal that used to be frequently imported from N. Africa. They are not as skittish as many of the racers and their colors are nice enough that they were fairly popular. They are great rodent eaters and are fairly hardy. Unfortunately I haven't seen any in several years though they frequently pop up on lists from Egypt along with their subspecies , the Flower Racer (C. h. florulentus).

Hello Joao:
Yeah I guess you would see more of them than we do in the states. If you keep them again try giving them hide boxes they can feel secure in. Many will eat rodents but at first you may have to feed them lizards as this is a big part of their diet in the wild. Good Luck!!!
