I too own a Speckled Racer. I started him out on goldfish and kept offering him "fuzzies". One day he just decided to eat the fuzzy and has ever since. He is now eating hoppers and will not touch the goldfish. He also eats better when there is plenty of foilage in his cage. They are truly beautiful creatures and I hope to acquire more in the future.
