Tri-colored racer in Arizona?

Today, me and a friend were driving on a dirt road in the Bradshaw MTS. area. It was about 10:00am, when we saw a racer upahead in the middle of the road. We sped-up and stoped hard to try and get close enough to catch it when we noticed the snake was a green\black\blue combo. We couldent catch it, but we would like to know what kind of racer it was.
