:I think she took a fuzzy! I put it in the tank in a bowl right in front of the cave at 4:30. It didn't look like it was able to get out. Then I checked the tank at 8:30 and it wasn't in the bowl. I looked all around the cage and dug through the substrate a little but didn't see. I don't think the fuzzys usually really dig anyway. Then I lifted up the cave and didn't see it in their easier. And for the first time, the racer started rattling it's tail and struck at me a couple times. I was actually happy about this because I thought it was to docile for a newly caught snake. So I'm pretty sure that she ate it, if it turns out it is in there somewhere I'll try putting it (well probably another-don't know how long that one will last without mom)back in the bowl. Thanks so much for that idea and answering my questions!

i only have a few wc snakes here but it's always a good sign when they try to bite, at least initially. she'll settle down...my ltc's will take f/t adult mice from my hand although they don't want to be handled....so i don't bother them. yours looks like she could eat a handful of fuzzies at a shot. once they start eating, you can easily wean them onto larger p/k food items. congrats!!
