::: I kept some TX patchnose for a short while. They did prefer lizards, but you should be able to convert them eventually using scent manipulation.

::I'm by no means an expert on keeping this species...but..I would set up a decent size cage with a thermal gradient, upper 70's to low 80's on one end and a nice hot basking spot where they can get 85-90 on the other...and of course good hide spot on the cool end...and I think you'll do fine.

::Whenever you are not certain of the temps a critter prefers, thermal gradients are best...the snakes will tell you what they prefer by the way act in the cage.

:Rick:: if you have a heating pad at one end you should be fine. Make sure you have a substrate deep enough for them to hide in. Ihave used aspen shavings or carfresh. I was able to get mine to eat rosy reds, but only if dropped in front of them. I don't know why, but it seems that lizard and frog eaters find fish a much more suitable meal then pinkies.
