I have a colony of Drymobius and they are fairly easy to keep. They are very much like a garter snake in temperment and feeding preferences. Mine will eat fish and thawed rodents...especially rat pups. Be careful when handling...they will drop thier tails during a struggle. Mine are ferocious and not the least bit afraid of me. I currently keep them in a heavily planted cage with several hide boxes and a large water bowl. I keep thier cage between 82 and 85F. I am in the process of building a walk-in cage for them. They are very fast to dart out of a regular front opening cage. I really enjoy keeping them and hope to have eggs soon!
