By "handle" I meant "cope with" not "grope/hold." I clearly didn't post this well. I'm really interested in getting a racer and/or coachwhip but can't locate any for sale on the web in classifieds or breeder websites (with the occiasionaly classified ad exception).

:Why would you want to handle venomous species? Thats what they mke tongs and hooks for. You should never handle a seriously venomous species, and a coachwhip will not help you "train" for a hot. If a rattlesnake, for example, were to strike at you, by the time you had noticed that it struck, you would already be envenomated. Just play it safe... and smart.
