The main reason I generalized was that I didn't feel like typing a whole bunch, lol. I just think people tend to anthropomorphize snakes a little too much and freak out if their snakes don't eat for a week. Snakes are opportunistic in the wild, which is why they can be easily overfed in captivity, combined with people's propensity to give too much food or too often. A snake's mentality is pobably to eat all the food it can because it never knows when its next meal may come. And I know there are obese snakes in the wild, it would be silly not to think so.
