I just, last week, got rid of my viper boa. And, of course I still have my bloods. Let me tell you there is no comparison. Vipers are some mean little buggers! I have ,to date ,to meet a nice viper.
I have, to date, to meet a mean blood.
You may get lucky and end up with a decent and nice viper... but from all the specimens I have ever seen, they are true to their name. Not to mention... bloods are superbly beautiful and vipers are a little... plain. But it all depends on you and what you are looking for. Is this your first snake? If so, then I wouldn't recommend either. They are both similar in their care and need high humidity.
