Just a quick question...I just got a baby jungle carpet python and have set it up in the 28" Vision cage, with a light mounted in the top and a radiant heat panel. I use visions and radiant heat panels for all my snakes with great success. The problem is, it seems that no matter where I set the panel with the rheostat, the other side of the cage equalizes every time. After turning the panel up and down in intensity, it seems that the Vision, being a smaller model, does not have the length or height for a good temp gradient. So, I have to pic a constant temp that is not too cold and not too hot. I therfore forfeit the "hot spot" and "cold end". Eventually, the snake will be moved to a larger cage when it grows, and I don't anticipate the same problem. What temp is a good constant? I figured 81F or 82F would be OK. Please let me know.
Thanx,
Brian
