Snakes...
All of these pictures were taken in late March at Huntley Meadows State Park. Huntley Meadows is a Virginia State Park and a protected wetlands. There are tons of herps and other critters to be seen here. It is also great for birding. The best times to see a myriad of herps is April and May but you will always see something worhtwhile during the warmer months.
Directions: Huntley Meadows Park may be reached by taking Washington D.C. Beltway Exit 177A which is Richmond Highway or Route 1 south for three and a half miles to a right on Lockheed Boulevard. The park entrance is approximately three blocks down on the left at Harrison Lane.
