Hmmm... That's rather an arbitrary statement. You must know that a camera is nothing but a fancy box. What makes the difference in picture quality are the lenses. So are you saying that Canon lenses make better pictures than Pentax lenses? That could be. Some [commercial] photographers I know do hold that Canon's multi-coating is better than Pentax's. I think this is mostly because when using slide film Canon's produce a really vivid and bright looking red. I don't think that one would notice any difference on prints however. I personally have a Canon AE-1 and a Pentax MX. I think they both do a beautiful job. I take better pictures with the MX because I like it better. I actually think that could be true of you as well---which is that you take the better pictures with the camera that you like the best.
