Absolutely. I would never buy a wild caught turtle. Nor would I keep one that I came across in the wild. It breaks my heart when I see the wild caught turtles in the classifieds. And I don't buy the arguement that, "by making it a pet, I'm saving it from something worse".
Now, I do realize that somwhere in my turtles past, his parents or his egg came from the wild, and that his kind are literally being bred in bulk. So, by buying him from the breeder, I feel that I actually am saving him from something worse.
