:More than likely they are no good. Chances are the embryos were drowned, but if you'd like to see what happens, you can incubate them. Painteds generally need to be incubated for around 55-65 days. You can purchase an incubator for cheaper than normal on e-bay or look for instructions to make your own.
Thanks for your help. I made an incubator and it appears to be working. We'll just have to wait and see how things turn out.
Atleast now I'm prepared when/if it happens again.
