O.K. Folks,
Let's get it straight. Yeah, your painted loves you, loves you to feed him that is. They are shameless beggars! I've got 2 Eastern Painteds. I can't even walk past the room they're in, let alone walk up to the tank, without them swimming up to the glass. Awww, there little feet just going a mile a minute, their heads all bobbing in the water. If they could talk, they would be saying,"feed us, feed us, it's been 5 minutes already since you fed us last, we're starving in here". While the fat is bulging out around their legs!
And yes, fingers look like food. It takes them a few months before they realize that fingers snap back. The fact that your hand is ten times bigger than him is not a deterrent to tasting it. In his little mind it's, "hey, you never know!"
