About 6 months ago I captured a small painted turtle (Midland, about 2 inch carapace)for my girlfriend while fishing (she loves turtles). His shell has a very odd 'hump' that creates the first third of the shell, and streches all the way across. This is very hard to describe. The shell almost looks as if it is pushed forward, kind of like when a carpet is pushed forward and a 'hill' is created. The turtle seems perfectly fine. He is active and has a good appitite. He has also grown a little over this time. Any info would be great. I'll try to get a picture.
Thanks
