Just wanted to report my NJ herp sightings so far this season.... In only 2 trips this season ive already found 2 adult breeding snappers, a juvenile snapper, 12 eastern mud turtles in the same spot, 2 painted turtles, several fence lizzards, woodhouse toads, green frogs, leopard frogs, bull frogs, and 1 eastern garter snake........ its still early in the season and im glad to say NJ's wildlife is alive and thriving well :) *all animals were photographed and sent on their way. So far the only places ive been to are Atsion lake, Hamilton Lake, and kenlockwood gorge.
