: I remember reading somewhere that NJ doesn't allow the possession of corn snakes. Is that true? I have a friend who has offered me a corn when her pair mates, and I'd love to take her up on the offer.

: Thanks

Meri,
Hey, good to type to you again. What you read was partly true. NJ does allow you to own corns, just "Clearly Albino" specimens! This means it MUST have red eyes! If it does not have red eyes it's illegal, period, not discussions about it. Now you and I know that albino forms of the corn take on several different variations but to the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife it doesn't matter. Only Red Eye'd, Clearly Albino Specimens can be owned and kept as pets in NJ. Hope this helped. Take care,
