In S.Jersey, I saw a black rat snake (hatchling)...rare find....[I so wanted to desperately keep it BUT I never collect wild caught since it hurts the environment AND it could spread diseases in my captive collection of snakes]. I also saw a small Timber rattler that I stayed far away from since I don't do venemous at all. I found several garter snakes. BUT thats it for snakes so far...I have been mainly looking for corn snakes (especially since you can't keep them as pets) but have had no luck yet. Next time I am bringing my camera to take pics to post.
