That's a rather "odd" question, unless you've never been there before. Ocean County has many, many great places and many many amazing snakes. I used to go to Jersey years ago and I spent 90% of my time in Ocean cnty... particularly Toms River. Man, I almost ran over a 6' Pine snake who was crossing Lacey rd.
Problem is, it's illegal to hunt snakes in Jersey, and I mean ILLEGAL! Why, you can't even be caught looking for snakes to take pictures, unfortunately. That's why I don't even go there anymore... in NY no one messe with ya. (though we don't have nearly as many great snakes as NJ... only an hour and a half away from where I live).
As far as where in Ocean County... almost anywhere. Just head 15 - 20 minutes west of the GSP and you're in prime territory!
Haven't you read Kauffelds "Snakes and Snake Hunting" yet?
