Like Jason, the only one I’ve seen is the Five-Lined Skink (Eumecs fasciatus). I was hiking part of the Appalachian trail somewhere along Rt. 23 about 3 years ago. Technically speaking I might have been in NY state but it could only have been, literally, like a minute over the “boarder”. I saw it on a small outcropping of rocks and was stunned! It took off like lightning before I could grab a shot just to prove to myself later that I wasn’t seeing things!
