December Garter (pic)

I work in Kingston, NJ. In the backyard are these vent pipes that about 7 garters brumate in. There is a hole on the side of them that they go down. I see them in the spring for a few weeks after coming out of brumation hanging around the yard. I see them again in the fall when they return only this year this large one keeps coming back out. I photographed this one on December 4th but have seen him up until Dec 8.
