My father got the vaccination before me and had no problems at all and he like me is always getting ticks on him. in my case i got the first shot late in the season and we are pretty sure i had lyme disease before getting the shot because i got symptoms about 4 days later. once you have lyme disease the vaccination isnt really effective anymore is what my doctor explained to me. but id talk to your doctor i had bad side effects but my case was odd since i had lyme during the vaccination. my father had no trouble at all..... problem for me is that once you have had lyme you have it for life, even though the disease can be killed it stays with you forever so the vaccination is no longer effective and also if you get bit again blood tests will not be effective they will test positive even if you dont have it. really wierd disease... so now if i get the slightest symptom i have to go on antibotics right away. in my opinion its worth it so go talk to your doctor
