Dude, You have to say what reptiles you have on the permit. There is a list of species you are not allowed to own in NJ with or without a permit, And a list of exempt animals which dont need a permit...... Anything between those 2 catagories needs a permit go to www.cnjhs.com and click NJ Permits.
When you buy a reptile at a pet store they are suppose to issue you a temporary permit untill you apply for the anual one. most dont though. anyway you just fill out the form which asks about your caging, what reptiles and sexes they are, your feeding, name of a vet, and some other stuff. takes about 2 weeks once you mail it in.
