: How much does a permit for owning a snake go for and where can I purchase one? I haven't looked into any permits at all since I dont own any snakes, I just like to catch em in the wild and let them go.

Permits are 10 dollars for all the (legal) snakes you want. (not 10 a piece, 10 for the whole lot). Got to our web site (www.cnjhs.com) and click on the permits link to the right. You can download the NJ exotic species permit right from our site.

: : is it legal to own a rubber boa in NJ? I was looking into either buying one or having a friend from California mail me one.

: : Sure! Rubber Boa's are legal to own in NJ but do fall under the permit system so your supposed to get a permit either before or after you get the boa.
