NEW IGUANA OWNER NEED'S ADVICE

I just bought an iguana. I like him very much. I saw your sight and was impressed. I need good advice on taking care of him. He has a heat rock and a light in the top of his cage. He is 2 and a half feet long. The girl I got him from said that he was two years old. Mr. Lizard as my daughter named him was eating dry food when I got him. I changed his food to some peas and beans and he loved them. Thanks to your information. If anyone has the time please give me some more hints. I want to take care of him the right way. How do you know the sex of an iguana. I was told that Mr. Lizard was a boy. Could it be Ms. Lizard?
