Hi, Carmen
I have also been thinking about offering to take one of my adult iguanas into schools (as well as pet stores) and give a speak/lecture kind of thing. I thought, however, that this might be an appropriate thing to do on the actual awareness day, on Sept. 11. Also, with the weather as cold as it is, I hesitate to take my iguanas outside and to a place without proper heating. :) I do think schools are a great idea, tho, and I've been working on a speak to give one day.
I also agree that a non profit status would make us much more 'legitimate and serious' appearing. :)
