newt is going to die :(

:what is the smallest food available? the small crickets are probably too big for him. :( i'm currently feeding freeze dried bloodworms. the other one eats these just fine. the one that i'm worried about is tiny, i haven't measured, but probably less than 2 1/2 inches including his tail.

Try finding a very small earthworm by digging in a place free of pesticides, or overturning rocks.
Cut it into pieces that look small enough for your newt to eat, and either place in front of the newt or offer on the end of a straightened paper clip.
If it does not take the worm piece, keep on trying.
I find that unless a newt is very ill,it cannot resist the wiggling worm piece for too long.
